The Opportunity – Electrical Estimator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in analyzing project specifications, conducting cost estimations, and preparing accurate and competitive bidding proposals. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and mathematical skills, along with a strong attention to detail. The Estimator will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure successful project completion within budget and time constraints.

Responsibilities: Electrical Estimator
- Analyze project specifications and requirements to understand the scope of work.
- Research and evaluate materials, labor costs, and other factors to estimate project costs accurately.
- Create detailed cost estimates, including labor, equipment, and material expenses.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other project documents.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure estimation accuracy.
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive bidding proposals.
- Track industry trends and pricing to stay updated on market conditions.
- Review and assess project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.
- Maintain documentation of cost estimates, methodologies, and assumptions.

Qualifications: Electrical Estimator
- Proven experience as an Estimator in a construction or similar industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in utilizing cost estimation software (currently using McCormick)
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, processes, and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
